Welcome to Neverland serves as the opening of the project, setting the tone with a fairytale vibe that reimagines classic stories. It also introduces the six core stories: Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, Hansel & Gretel, Beauty and the Beast, and Romeo & Juliet.

Beyond the Surface: Rethinking Heroes, Damsels & Villains

Explore traditional portrayals of fairytale characters, Heroes, Damsels & Villains dives into character conventions, questioning stereotypes and showcasing the need for more diverse and complex representations.

Happily Ever? After… Happily Never After

Happily Ever? After… Happily Never After discusses the evolving nature of fairytales. It is divided into three sections:

  • Into the Unknown - exploring the potential future of remakes and the call for diverse, inclusive narratives. 

  • Is There Really a True Love Kiss? - questioning the necessity of the traditional romantic ending and examining alternative conclusions.

  • It’s a Man’s World - reflecting on the evolution of gender roles, questioning the default portrayal of men as heroes and the limited roles given to women.

Grimm Origins

Grimm Origins delves into the reality original Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen stories, contrasting them with modern adaptations, where we recount the raw, sometimes violent original tales, alongside narrations of the sanitised versions we know today.

Beyond Ever After

The final chapter provides an in-depth conclusion that ties together all the themes explored across the project. It traces the evolution of fairy tales from the grim originals of the Grimm Brothers and Andersen, through the family-friendly adaptations of Walt Disney, to today's diverse, multi-format narratives.
